Waterspot Mineral Remover is perfect for removing mineral contamination caused by highly sedimented limestone that can no longer be removed with a classic washing cycle consisting of pre-wash and wash with neutral or alkaline shampoo.

Before using this product, we advise you to proceed with a thorough washing, according to the correct washing sequence: rims and tires, pre-wash and manual washing with shampoo.

If at the end of drying there remain: limescale stains, strongly anchored mineral residues or halos on the crystals, Waterspot Mineral Remover is perfect for removing these sedimented contaminations.

Having carried out a complete washing, it will be easier to identify all the points where the contamination is concentrated and to act in a localized way with the most suitable technique.

For localised stains, directly apply the product onto the surface, leave it to act for 30 seconds and then wipe off with a damp microfiber cloth such as our “Polishing Cloth”. Finish it with a second soft, clean microfiber cloth.

or tough stains, repeat the process, leaving the product to work for a little longer but no more than 60 seconds, to be sure that the product does not dry on the bodywork.

When cleaning the windscreen and rear window, we suggest cleaning half a window at a time and then rinsing.

In case of limescale marks across the bodywork, apply the product directly and uniformly to one panel at a time, working it in evenly with a pad such as our “Microfiber Pad”. Lastly, rinse with clean water before moving on to the next panel. For less accessible parts such as badges, locks, wheel nuts or mouldings, use a soft bristled brush in order to distribute and work the product.

Helpful tips to wash the exterior

Always in the shade

Wash the car in a shaded area and never in direct sunlight, to prevent the shampoo from drying out, which will stain.
Never on hot bodywork

If the car has been exposed to the sun or the bonnet is very hot, cool the surface with a jet of cold water
Start from the top

It is the least dirty part and you will avoid dirtying the glove: washing will be faster.
Try to use two bucket

In the first you will put the solution of water and shampoo, in the second only water to rinse frequently the sponge or glove: you will avoid scratching the bodywork.
Wash small sections at a time

You will not forget any part, the product will be very effective and will not dry: you will prevent stains and marks.
Perfect rims

Clean the rims with a brush that can reach the most hidden points.

Why is it important to remove limescale from the surface?

Because it would dull the colour and penetrate the clear coat on the body of the car, deeply staining it. It would also stain the windows and prevent good visibility.

Should Water Spot Remover be used on wet or dry cars?

It depends: on dry surfaces when localised contamination is present. On wet cars when widespread and large contamination is present or on the windows.

If the car is completely contaminated by limescale, what should I do?

First do a thorough wash with the Foam Gun Prewash or with the Black&Wrap Shampoo for black or wrapped cars. If required, spray Water Spot Mineral Remover onto the washing mitt and wipe it over the bodywork.

How can I check that I have fully decontaminated the lime scale surface?

To check this, simply use a jet of water. If, when you pass a jet of water over the surface of the car you see the water slide off in a compact film, you can be sure that the surface has been completely purified.
